* No, baby steps....lol! Right now we have many very young aldabras, i will work on that phase as things progress. I am very pleased with the initial orientation and acceptance by Chewy, however seems good so far. The little guy is very smart, working with him on tortoise exposure is one area i can not be lax on, especially when we have many little ones right now. The adult introduction i will play it by ear, under direct and constant supervision of course, lol! He arrived at 1730 hours in the next county and the last picture was taken shortly after 2100 hours. Very busy first four hours for sure, LOL!
I'm so happy Jake is at home where he belong's! He's a gorgeous G.S.

I had a Jake once, he was one of the bestest dogs....great name choice Greg...
24 hours since he has arrived. First vet check went well and he & Chewy are doing way better than i had anticipated! Jake basically is a mini-Chewy, LOL!
Your right, Minnie Chewy, even sleeping like him. Except of course the toy. I guess he just didn't really want to stop playing, but was just too worn out to continue. Great pics.
How's Chewy keeping up with him? I bet they go most of the day.
* Actually Chewy is 13 and very retired these days. He sees Jake as a nuisance basically, LOL! Jake watches Chewy and does what he does. Chewy has already taught Jake some doggy lessons, like it is inappropriate to bite another dogs nose! Now they are friends, sorta!
Chewy is 110 pounds and Jake is 15 pounds!
