Hello everyone. I've always been into turtles and tortoises as a kid and now I'm considering a pet tortoise. I've seen online that a Hermann's Tortoise is basically a good one for a first timer. Please let me know where to find more information about what species to get and indoor care.

I live in Westchester, NY and have a Russian up for free adoption (includes everything). My kids have gotten older and I feel she needs a better home with more love and attention.
