New Enclosure

Hey all! I have a bookshelf that I'd love to make a new enclosure, itd free up my 40 gallon for my beardie. I have the dementions: 38.5x16x10.5 (LxWxH). he's approx 4.5-5 inches and a full grown male. Just curious to some kind of feedback or ideas!

Well, is this for your Russian Tort? If so, I would say this would be a good indoor set up if your tort is outdoors entirely and then brought in for night time....I believe for an adult Russian, this will feel cramped for him....also, if you are going to add 4 to 6 inches of substrate to allow for your tort to dig into...that will not leave that much height for the enclosure walls....and from what you previously posted, he is or was an escape risk...lol...
