Here are a few pics of my new 1 year old Redfoot Herb's closed chamber enclosure. In the photos I have the door off.
He is not really active. His night time temps are in the 75-89 range and his day temps can get near 96 at times. I feed him everything from kale to pumpkin. I've given him one pinky and some super worms as a protons source since I've had him. He only eats when I lay him next to his food.
Is there anything I can do to make him more active ? ImageUploadedByTortForum1389234412.021928.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1389234182.356466.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1389234192.256845.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1389234202.219550.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1389234212.490263.jpg

I'm thinking your temps are too hot. What's the humidity? Take a look at the tortoiselibrary.com for some more good RF info. It's a member of this forum site.

im thinking too hot also, i also think your lights are too bright.mine prefer to hang out under the canapy ,dappled light.try sticking some taller silk or rael plant that the tort can walk around under the leaves,it weill be pritty too

sometimes i angle the light against the sides of enclosur depending on temps, you never want to toast your torts ,could lead to pyramiding, but thats another story....

I just switched from a red light to a CHE 150W so that's why my temps are so high. I think my stat is off though Becuase to me it's not that hot in there. Where should the probs be placed ?

I would put another thermometer in there just to double check the temps.
A CHE i150 W is way too hot for my 4 foot enclosure.
I have my 100w on a dimmer to adjust temps.
Always best to double check.
Overall.... Nice!!!
