My tortoise who is a out 3 lbs got into this fertilizer! It somehow floated from a plant that is not in my tortoise area from the rain into my tortoise area. I'm not sure how much he ate. I don't believe a whole lot. What should I do???

I just read that it is non toxic and can cause stomach upset.

Soak him longer than usual to help flush out his system

I'm so happy for you and your tortoise. I would soak your tortoise for a hour (keeping the water warm).

Soak in a high sided container with shallow warm water for about 30 mins and monitor closely hope there is no side effects

Actually should be longer than 30 minutes. 30 minutes is a normal soak, you want longer.

30 minutes is a normal soak time. Something like this should be longer.

Thanks everyone! I soaked him for about an hour and he is eating dandelion and mulberry leaves right now. I also gave him some juicy pear and romaine lettuce for hopefully a hydration boost.
