Hygrometers can help you measure the salinity. If you do get one, I recommend the telescope looking one instead of the meter oneI am. Not sure if it’s exactly the salinity it needs, but I do add some to the water. I feel it helps with organisms and health. Thank you for the compliments.

I have received multiple different answers. Can anyone here tell me what they think or know this looks like? About 4.5 inches shell length. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Diamondback terrapins like yours are one of my DREAM turtles!!!!!!!Thank you all for the help and complements. I ended up buying a refractometer thanks to all your advice. I was way under the salinity needed for brackish water. Now I am perfect. I bought the liquid to calibrate the tool as well. Gem seems very happy now. Fed her some ghost shrimp yesterday. What cool animals to watch eat. Just simply amazing. Let’s see some of your terrapins out there if you wish to share.....
