Hi everyone thank you I just rescued a 13-year-old red foot. We were Told that he had just been checked out at the vet and was healthy and of course he is not healthy he has a respiratory infection that we’ve been treating but he’s getting better slowly. he’s currently living in a enclosure that’s about 8 feet long by 3 feet wide the problem is it’s a piece of junk and splitting already after a month I want to design him the best enclosure possible. if you could create any enclosure for him, what would you make? In the summer he will be spending his days outside in a special enclosure I am particularly interested in how to waterproof the bottom. thank you so much

As it seems you are aware, the enclosure needs to be very large, very humid and warn.
The humid part makes it difficult. I'd suggest using a pond Liner under the substrate to protect the wood or you can use a couple of inexpensive shower curtain liners that are glued together at the seams with something like 3m weatherstrip adhesive
My Redfoot are outside 24/7 so unfortunately I'm not as knowledgeable about large indoor Redfoot enclosures as some other members.

Thank you yes. We are doing well with heat and humidity 80% humidity on one side and 70% on the other. Heat is 80 degrees with a basking spot of 90. The pond liner is a great idea!
