How 'bout 'turtle'

I'm guilty of this in a nerdy way. I went through baby/pet name websites constantly. I agonized over it! Then on the day my tort arrived, I instantly settled on Carbo. I had been thinking of the prehistoric turtle Carbonemys, but when I saw on the box that the red foot's Latin name was carbonaria, my mind gave up looking for any other name ?

I got my 2 redfooted torts at the end of September and had a hard time coming up with good names for them. Ended up naming my juvenile Karma and my 6-month-old hatchling Kurma, which is the Hindu tortoise king. :)

I like old timey names,,, the ones that are out of fashion . I have 2 Chinese Brown Geese, Boy & Girl, they are Cletus & Ethyl. My Leopard is Seymore, Was toying with the idea of calling him Tudor after the turtle in the OLD Mr. Wizzard Cartoons.....Oh no Mister Wizzard....I don't want to be a tax accountant...(Inside joke), and the Gulf Coast Box turtle is Bump....because she was found in the middle of the road, thus she's a "bump".

Tudor is a great name! I've never heard that one used before. Plus it goes back to the Tudor royalty.

I gave my males names Hector and Brutus - the latter one is trying to "stab" the former one in the back. He is beta as hell so Hector looks at him and he runs away. I am trying, however, to find adequate names for my females, Im thinking names of greek Muses, perhaps..

Agreed. They are housed outside on about 1100 sqft with a lot of hides and four females. Since the incident, which was the first day I am watchful about it, but they just kinda avoid each other. Might add even more females in the future or move one in separate enclosure if need be.
