I have noticed that my tort's nails have been getting awfully long. they are not huge but they seem kinda long. is this bad? is there a way to trim them? do they need to be trimmed? a reply would be great. Thanks!

Sometimes they may need to be trimmed. However, if you place some pieces of ruff tile or flat ruff rocks in the enclosure to walk on and feed on a ruff surface, he may be able to get them naturally filed down. Otherwise, you would have to intervene. Post a pic and someone will be able to tell you if they are already too long.
