I got rid of all my big retics and burms last winter, but soon realized I couldn't stay away from retics for long. So here are some pics of my little retics I have recently aquired.....

Love the retics. Scrubs too. Had a really tame one once. Super healthy, inquisitive and active, just not aggressive. Well, unless you were a thawed rat.

Nice pics. Love all the new colors.

So that snake is called a retic? What are bloods? Do you keep tarantulas, scorpians and centipedes for pets or food for pets?

Retic= Reticulated python. The longest snakes on the planet, and in my opinion the most amazing snake on the planet!

Bloods are a type of python. Here is a link to some great info on them.... http://www.vpi.com/publications/blood_pythons_information_and_care

I keep the tarantulas, scorps and pedes for the fun of it and because they are AMAZING animals.

I think I will stick with tortoises. I do like to see tarantulas in the yard, something about a big furry spinder is cool to me. I have scorpions and centipedes too. I don't like them at all.

I love the sides on that Suntiger. I remember when the Tiger and Super Tiger were the big things. :)

who knew there were so many pretty variations..
I notice that a lot of snakes live in 'drawers' with no
substrate. Are they put on display? is it easier to house them in the drawers?
( sorry I know there is another names for it, but that what they look like)
They must do ok if they re produce, just wondering why its done that way for snakes.

I'm not a snake lover yet I'm not a hater, I can definitely admit she's GORGEOUS! I always loved watching Steve Irwin on animal planet with his snakes :)

That's some pretty beautiful retics you got there. What kind of retics and burms you had before?

the only burms i have had were a breeding pair of albinos, i got several clutches from them.

as far as retics, all i have now are a female platinum poss het albino, this female suntiger poss het albino and caramel, a female 50% jamp het albino, an adult male lavender albino and a female lavender that should hopefully breed next season.

Laura, it is amazing all the different morphs that are available now. There really are some gorgeous ones. The drawers they are kept in are part of a rack system. I keep my smaller ones in those. I have 8 foot cages for the adults. The racks are great for snakes. Snakes don't need the space or lighting that tortoises and most lizards need.
