This is my new cage for my Greek tortoise I think it looks great my guinea pigs use to live in it but they got a bigger cage so I washed this one and gave it to my tortoise what do u think
The set up you have, while resourceful, is a huge hazard (fire, dropping into enclosure)....please be sure to get the light fixture that has the ceramic type base and not plastic.....as the heating bulbs used for reptiles really really really put off alot of intense constant heat...
Is that a concrete post form cut in half for the hide? Awesome idea...and plants are always pretty and fun, since you have the caged top you can likely use some plants that will grow on/around the cage top as well and work as a type of humidity source also....cute tort too
Artificial plants because my tortoise eats those plants what kind of real plant should I put in
Thanks
I know i should get a different fixture I'm saving up for a dome for the bulb
Try a spider plant. You could hang it from the wire on top (securely) to save ground space. plants do add humidity especially if you mist them.
I have seem some with these enclosures use scraps of wood to create a small balcony on one end with a ramp. Creates a hide underneath, and adds some floor space and climbing action!
