Awesome. That was going to be my suggestion to you was to adjust his substrate because some slight pyramiding has begun. But it's still very early and with proper humidity and soaks he should end up being one gorgeous tortoise. Tom's and Neal's links on how to raise leopards are highly recommended.
I've noticed this as well. When we first got him we had the understanding that he needed to be dry. Only recently have I found out that I've been going at it all wrong. So I'm trying to keep it as humid as possible right now. It stays at about 50% so that's why he needs a new home.
He is a cutie. Toms threads are below in my post for easy reference. I use coconut coir for substrate. It holds humidity the best and will not mold. Thanks for sharing the pic.
