I have a 3 year old leopard tortoise. This morning at feeding time her ear was normal. 1 hr later it was red. It looks like she rubbed her head on something. It's not bleeding, but is very pink. I made an appointment with her vet for tomorrow. Has anyone seen this before? I'm worried about my baby. It doesn't seem to bother her at all.

Can you take a good picture of what you're talking about. You're probably right that she rubbed her head against something, their skin will turn pink if that happens. Doesn't sound too serious, but a picture would give a better idea of what's going on.

I will try to post a picture. I'm not sure how. I'm new at this. Thanks for your help.

A picture would be great, to rule out any injury that can cause an abscess.
