Today at work somebody brought in 3 tortoise in to me to check them out.
One of them had the worst Ear abcesses i have ever seen in a tortoise,
Both ears were so full the animal couldnt withdraw its head into its shell.
One of the ears had ruptured, the abcess had been there so long the puss was no longer puss but a thick yellow block, With the help of the vet we managed to clear all the stuff out and cleanse it,
The other ear was pretty much the same all though it hadnt ruptured, but it to had been there for along while as the puss was so hard we had to sedate the tort, put luke warm saline in to soften the lump to be able to get it out.
Why do people do this to a creature. Obviously i charged her double the price for being a stupid person to say the least..
