Mine try to eat stuff like that. You can give it a try, but watch out for them eating it.

I don't worry much about humidity levels for russians. I try to keep it moderately high for little babies, but beyond that stage I offer a humid hide and damp substrate. When they burrow down, they are making their own little humid chambers. Ambient humidity is not all that critical for older russians as long as they have drinking water that they actually drink, and the damp substrate and hide boxes. If your house and enclosure have extremely low humidity (lower than 20-30%) you might need to make an adjustment.

Ok I should be good humidity in southern louisiana is usually high I was just having trouble keeping hides very humid
