Just brought in a really nice new group of redfoots on sunday and today (two days later) one of the beautiful females laid 3 perfect eggs and 1 deformed egg.

Anyone ever get an egg like this one? I will keep it in the incubator with the others in case there is a chance it will hatch. Does anybody think it will hatch, and if it does will it have deformities?

I will be posting some pictures soon of the new guys I recently acquired, but as for now I am super excited about more eggs!! :D

Thanks for looking!!

Congrats John !!!

As for the deformed egg, it's very "common" that when a female lay her first clutch(es) one or several of the eggs can be deformed, non fertile, etc... So no worries Mate !

Yes, the deformed eggs are often fertile...

But the neonates have a hard time getting out of those eggs by themselves.
