My Eastern Box Turtle was run over by a bicycle and is missing a front foot.

It seems to be healing up but is still red and raw, but this front leg is getting very muscular. I keep her in a soft bedding.

Since she is still growing I think it will heal over when she is full grown.

It still bothers her though.

Please take her to a reptile vet.

Have you tried covering the foot to protect it while it heals?

if this is the same turtle you posted about in august 2021 , i'd take it to a vet ........ it doesn't take a year for an amputated foot to heal ...........

I think it's pretty much healed. Her front amputated leg is pretty muscular and the stump is getting very calloused.

I have to find a reptile vet though.

One thing I know is that typical heat lamps are not good for your turtle/tortoise. My EBT goes into her cave when I turn it on. She likes heating up but heat lamps are too much.

I am going to get her a basking light soon.

Her UV is perfect. She is tanning up and matches her substrate perfectly.

How about posting a pic of your tort, so as to enable the experts here to help you more.

And wishes for a speedy recovery to your tort.

Sorry to hear about your Turtles, if you were concern about the pain that Turtle has been going threw you would take it to the Vets. Year ago, I had a box turtle that got it front leg shut in the door. Just about amputation it off. Rush it to the Vet, they were able to save the foot but couldn't attach all of the nerves. Over time the turtle recovered and walked on the back of his foot not the palm.

I found her on the bicycle trail and she had been run over but her front left amputated foot was fairly healed.

It's calloused over pretty well and very muscular.
