I read that you don't want it too moist for a Horsefield, or they will get shell rot, as they are from quite a dry environment...but will do more research and moisten it if needed

oh, and thanks I am rather proud of it, still a work in progress thought!

Looking really nice! Are you able to focus your light more straight downward? Those clamps usually don't work well for that. I think that is why many folks just give up on the clamp and go with a homemade light stand or something along those lines.

Russians are normally great climbers and I see some corners where a determined Russian could escape out... especially the neat area with the plant. Might want to consider making an overhand around the table or atleast on the corners to prevent that from possibly happening.

I have them as straight down as I can, and they seem to be keeping the temps at suitable levels...
Yes we have has a run in with the Aloe Vera plant and have had to more some pebbles so she can't climb in it again!!
We are planning to extend it when she gets a bit bigger (as the sides are currently too high for her to get out) to make the sides higher and put a rim around to make it even less easy! Like I said still a work in progress!

I kept my Russian on damp substrate when he was a hatchling, and never had any issues with shell rot. I would recommend it to keep up the humidity.
It looks very nice!! I would probably add another hide in there, on the opposite end from the other one.
Misha is very lucky :) (and very cute!)
