Ok- I know that "cold + wet = sick tort."
We've started getting cool fronts moving through, so that means rain followed by a drop in temperature. If Elsa (my 5- year old Eastern Hermann's) is in her outdoor enclosure and it rains, at what temp should I bring her in? So far, I have been bringing her in if the outside temps drop to 70 if it's wet.

good topic.

my Sulcata is now indoors 100%, and this morning he was begging to go outside. its dark, cold (44°) and pouring rain.

I told him over and over "You cant go outside, honey. It's too cold for tortoises."

He's not convinced. I told him I'd consult the experts and see if they agreed. [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES][TURTLE][GROWING HEART]

I recently brought all my torts indoors. Temperatures here were dipping into the 40's. Even my hatchlings were outside 24/7. They are hardier than you think. In the 70's is plenty warm to leave her outdoors.
