So I found a new friend here at the Nook. It has taken 2 weeks of daily feeding to get Sarah comfortable enough to "dine out" and be photographed. Here she's devouring a cricket given to her moments ago. Kinda cool but if i come out one morning to "some pig" we are going to rethink this relationship!

Typically she hides then pulls her food inside. This was a Turning point...of sorts.

I fed her 3 crickets yesterday. She sucked the guts from one of them then deposited his carcass/shell at the edge of her web, like it was trash. The other two she tucked near her entrance but outside of her tunnel. I presume that she anesthetized them as they didn't move anymore.

I come out this morning and the 2 crickets given yesterday are deposited at the web's edge!

You can see them in the picture. At Sarah's tunnel entrance is another cricket I just placed there for her breakfast....its DNA has conveniently for Sarah, drives it towards the closest dark space it can find!

I love having the time to do this stupid stuff.....
