Your enclosure looks nice, but it is too open and needs a cover to maintain accurate humidity and heat. Your enclosure needs to be at least 80 degrees in the coldest part of the enclosure at all times with a basking spot of 100 degrees.
What are you using for night heat?
You need a water bowl without moss, and make sure you don’t use that ramp one. It is a tortoise death trap. Instead, use a terra cotta saucer large enough for your tort to sit in it.
Those button thermometers are not accurate at all, and you need to have it at your tortoises height. I would recommend a 15 dollar temp gun from Home Depot, and a digital hydrometer.
Please give the links a read :)

For the cover, you could drape a heavy duty or medium duty shower curtain over the enclosure, making sure that it drapes over the lamp stand instead of touching the lamp.

Today I’ll be picking up a 100 watt ceramic heat emitter for night heat.

And I’ll grab a temp gun also while I’m out and digital hydrometer.

I have a few terra cotta saucers laying around, so I’ll replace the ramp bowl.

As for as the top.. I can cover it and just leave space for the lighting.

If you drape the curtain over so that it doesn’t touch, are you sure you’ll need a hole for it?
The rest sounds great! I’m sure your tort will be a happy lil guy ;)

I probably won’t need the hole. And thanks! I’m definitely excited and looking forward to seeing him grow and flourish.

Thanks for all of the great advice!
