I used to buy my Mazur in bulk so I just recently ran out, ran to petco to just get a small bag to tied over till my order could be made and shipped. ..............I was like what the heck is this crap to the store lady Causer it looked weird, she Saud they changed the formula I promise is the same thing though. .........I have to vote total bull, my babies won't touch the crap now when I couldn't hardly get them to eat anything other then the old stuff..

Is anyone else having this problem, it's been over 3 weeks and they haven't even taken 1 bite of it!

Mazuri has two different formulas now. Check out the website. You can get the new formula or original.

Yes,they did make a newer formula. Another member, I don't remember who, tried the newer one and didn't like it either, nor did his torts.

It's definetly a preference. My torts didn't notice a difference, but my torts have gotten to the point where they eat whatever I put in front of them

I think it's a "higher-fiber" diet? Regardless, as said they made a new formula. Supposed to be healthier, I think they cut out the junk ingredients like the molasses. Which would probably be why the tort's won't touch it :). After all, who likes to eat healthy?

The new formula also has Timothy hay in it, so that is why I thought I would give it a shot

I have been feeding both, the old and the new. Everyone I have offered it to has eaten it, It's like some other new foods offered, they may not take to it on the first try. One advantage and also disadvantage of the new, is the smaller size, it can be feed dry to smaller tortoises, but Walker who usually eats one dry piece at a time seems to take forever to finish whats offered. but he will eat it.Picture 047.jpg This is Alex and Toad, one bowl of the new moistened and the other bowl is the new dry. If I had reversed the bowls they would have still eaten what was put in front of them. Only time will tell if the extra cost of the new is worth it.

None of my tortoises like the new formula unfortunately . I try to mix it in and they eat around it. After this bag runs out I'm sticking to the old formula
