Franklin loves to look at himself in the mirror! Is that unusual? Haha

When I am letting my leopards soak water drain, so I can add fresh, I will face him towards the mirror. He looks at himself and bobs his head a little. One time I think he scared himself and bombed his head towards the mirror and touched it and then pulled his head in really quick like he was scared. I had to laugh at him, so funny.

Just understand he's not looking at "himself". He's looking at that other tortoise behind the strange barrier that he can't figure out. Only a few animals are capable of self recognition. Apes, are one. It's questionable whether dolphins or elephants can. Ravens and parrots are debatable too, but seem not to "get it". Monkeys don't get it. I've tried several species several times.
