This is my new Russian tortoise I have named Little Bit because he was bullied his whole life and is very small...He doesn't like sleeping in his hide...I moved him in from the tort shed hoping the interaction with me in the house will help him ...

I wasn't able to find my male russian before I had to tear down their fence for my new driveway, so if you're not real committed to keeping him, I'll take him when the weather warms up.
The guy was supposed to come get the big male 2 weeks ago...if I still have him you can have the big one and I'll keep Midget...yep...not Little Bit...but Midget...

Thank you. I watch for him daily, but he won't pop back up until the ground warms up a bit. I only hope I'm alert and see that happen.
The county here is building about 100 plus homes. There are so many turtles there. Because of the natural creek. It's so sad.i had a few turtles coming to visit me every year.

Okay, now I feel like I need to stand up for MY Russian tortoise, Pasha. He is 18 years old, has a sweet personality and is quite laid back. He has never flashed his penis at me, humped anything in his enclosure and has never been aggressive towards anyone or anything. He has always been housed alone, so maybe this is why he is not “that kind” of Russian tortoise, but it is possible to have a completely relaxed and personable Russian.
