Is it okay to move a sleeping tortoise? I get home from work at night, and if it's not tortoise friendly weather for the day they are in the indoor enclosures. Is it okay for me to move sleeping tortoises from the indoor enclosure to the outdoor one so they can wake up early with the sun and graze on weeds and stay out all the next day? Or should I just wait until i'm up in the morning around ten and put them out for the day?

My preference is to leave them alone and put them out in the morning.

They may not like being moved, would you like someone to pick you up while sleeping and put you outside? but it won't cause any harm to them. Now as for putting them outside at night when you get home (If I am understanding your post correctly) I would prefer to wait until the next morning personally.

but would suggest you drag yourself up for five minutes closer to 7:30-8:00 am and set em out....then you go back to bed.....:D
