Hey guys! I was wondering if garden coir is good for a leopard tortoise substrate. Here is a couple of pics. It is made of coco coir. Would it be ok? Its eco-friendly. Thanks!
I don't keep red foots. I would think soWould this work for a cherry head red foot too?
???Read the ingredients on the back.
Meaning, see what all the ingredients are in this product. Is it plain ground coconut husk or are there other additives in it?

What about adding peat moss?with the coco?Yes, coco coir is a very popular substrate to use. I used it with all of my leopard hatchlings, juveniles and am currently using it in my adult leopard's heated tort house.
Peat moss should never be used. They will eat the long fibered stuff and can get impacted, and the dirt like stuff can burn their plastron. What about adding peat moss?with the coco?
