So the same clutch will not matter, correct?
Best just to start with 1 as I know my current space available can fit 1 safely. When I move and know how much space I will have then I can get 2 more at that time, correct?

Same clutch wouldn't matter, that's correct.

I think your plan of 1 now, 2 later is good.
Although, that means at some point you may have to deal with gender ratios. My ratio was 2 males, 1 female. Which is why I acquired more babies.

Well my leopard tort enclosure has lots of cactus ' and 2 large bushes and it's 13 ft x 36 ft and only one pair in the spring he rams her and in the summer she rams him .

I have a Russian which is my son (but I take care of) :) I want a larger tortoise for me. Everyone knows tortoise owners don't only 1!
