hi i just wondered what everyone else feeds theirs ,apart from this mine now have a tray of turf that they have access to for graze during the winter.so first an average selection about 5 or 6 different coarse weeds and a couple of grasses in this case soft timothy grass and what looks like fine fescue or bent.for hatchlings i then chop it up so they dont hog the softer weeds and this way normally the grasses get eaten as well .to this i add finely chopped graze-on or readi-grass and limestone flour they certainly appear to enjoy it .so far i am seeing slow smooth growth and they are active and strong ,when you pick one up they scramble in your hand like a sand crab.only time will tell if this diet is correct the only difference to my meds is i dont always add grasses to theirs although they do get the dry stuff and limestone flour.
