I have just bought a kalanchoe plant and i want to plant it in my tortoises enclosure but i realize that i will have to plant it into chemical free soil and leave it for some time before putting into the enclosure, i was just wondering how long at least i should wait before planting it in the enclosure?

You can re-pot it, washing all the existing dirt from the roots, in clean potting soil. Once the plant has re-established itself (about a month or so), you can transplant it into the soil in the habitat.
