Cute tort. However he is pyramiding quite a bit. If you get that table covered and get him into some high humidity, he will start to grow smooth like they are suppose to be. Please read Toms threads below in my post for proper housing.

Welcome to the forum and adorable little tort....some area/humid hide is a beneficial item to have in the enclosure...this way if/when your tort feels the desire to retreat to a warm humid area it is there as an option....again, welcome and have fun poking around here...:D

Welcome! Are you sure your temps get high enough with that set up? And yes I agree with covering the enclosure to boost humidity to stop the pyramiding. Daily soaks will help too.

Hello, and welcome to the Forum!!

Does Jerry go into his cave at night? One way to provide the humidity he needs for smooth growth instead of having to cover the whole habitat is to pack sphagnum moss inside the cave. Then keep the moss moist. But you would have to be sure to keep the cave warmer than normal so he doesn't get cold while he's in there.

I like the nice, big habitat that you've provided for Jerry.
