I think mulberry is darker green. There are so many different shaped mulberry leaves its hard to tell. When you pinch or break one of the leaf stems does it bleed white? If so, it might be mulberry.

It was tough to get the camera to focus on it but I broke one off and it did bleed white.

I am no expert but the leaves in your pictures are different than mine.

I have several different shaped leaves on my mulberry tree. So going by leaf shape is a tough identification.

Thanks for the input. Guess I'll hold off and wait and see if we get more of a consensus. Was hopeful it may be mulberry as it is growing in my landscaping and thought maybe I could use some of the leaves.

Cut off a branch and take it to a nursery for I.D.

I'm in Virginia and have mulberry trees that have leaves just like yours and I also have mulberry trees that have a little different leaf than what you have on yours. As your tree matures the leaves will probably get larger and may have many more different shapes.
