This is about a $10 savings from what I paid at the local pet store. If your Tort gets sunlight a few times a week you don't even need this. Also, do you have a CHE for the night?

That's about the going price. Check Amazon; if you have Prime, it might be that price with free shipping.

Even if you buy it now, you might consider saving it for the Fall when the tortoise will be in for the Winter. These bulbs are at their peaks for the first 6 months, so he/she would be well supplied with UV over the Winter.
You could just use a house bulb for the rest of Spring, knowing your tortoise will get great UV from the sun over Summer.
Still, you can search them out now, and watch for deals.

OK. The problem is: we are moving in just a month or so, so I can't build another tortoise enclosure outside because we are going to rent it out, and the UV light on my indoor enclosure is almost dead...:( That's why I want a light soon.
But thanks for the advice.:)


Oh. one more thing, on the picture it shows the 160 watt... it is the 100 watt, right? I'm going to use amazon.
