Is paddy hay good for stars?

Friends, Great forum I bumped into via google search. Thanks to all your contributions. I read about Timothy hay and was wondering if paddy hay is a suitable food for the star? If this is not suitable food, any thoughts if this can be used as a substrate?

Hay should never be used as substrate. It's far too dry and molds quickly when you add moisture. I'm not sure if that hay is a good food source so you'll have to wait on someone else to comment. The only thing I can tell you is that you need to make sure it drinks a lot when you feed hay.
