I'd think not. The orchid potting soil probably contains some fir bark but probably has other stuff included as well. You'd have to look at the contents to be sure.
Some mixes contain perlite, vermiculite or charcoal. Ideally you'd be using one that was just fir bark.
That one also contains fertilizer. The plain orchid bark, at least the ones I'm familiar with, do not contain fertilizer.
I use orchid bark i like it its not super messy. Its not the best thing for holding humidity so i add coir to it and the combination works great. You can get orchid bark at osh hardware
