Ok one of my ybs is about 11 months old and about 3.25" each way.
I've seen both of them doing the mating thing and got a bit worried after noticing the females ( I think female) back legs are a bit swollen and she has slowed down a bit, she also keep digging in the gravel and her shell is shimmery in the light. Can she really be pregnent soo young?

Hi idan_UK:

Welcome to the Forum!!

What would you like us to call you?

And may we know appx. where in the world you are?

I don't know too much about water turtles, however, I would think that 3-something inches is too small to be sexually mature. If the back legs are swollen, its probably due to some other problem. I would think a visit to the vet would be in order.

Hey thanks for reply, Dan would be great thanks! From UK

I'm not sure if they are swollen maby I'm just over reacting.
Or I'm watching her behaviour too much, she's very shy and scared a lot.

Many this will help?
