Hi, I have a 20-month-old Hermann's tortoise. She/ he weighs about 110g. Is this to heavy? I feed her/ him once a day and if she/ he doesn't eat it in an hour, I take it out. Her/ his shell is 7.5 cm long and 6 cm wide. Is she/ he to big?

Are you going to hibernate your tort? I heard that you can hibernate juveniles a month for each year old they are, e.g. a 2 year old could hibernate for two months and a 3 year old for three months ect until they are 5 when they can go the full six months but I'm not sure if the Jackson ratio takes into account juveniles and you should definitely check this out by someone more knowledgeable on the subject than me, or the tort may overwinter too early or be too light and perish You don't even have to hibernate your tort anyway, you can buy a special winter food for them but this is controversial among the tortoise society and once again, please check before doing anything rash!
P.s. thanks for the trophy
