Is it time to switch off the incubator?

Just a couple of the eggs at 4 weeks incubation.
They're all continuing to chalk, some almost completely.
I can't see any veins or embryo, so is it time to switch off the incubator?
They're Hermann eggs incubated at 31-32.
Thank you everyone

I don't understand. Why would you want to turn it off? Mine stay on all the time.

I thought by the 4-5th week, in Hermann tortoises, if no sign of veins or an embryo, the eggs were not fertile?
I was wondering, because they are still chalking, if this is just a sign of the eggs going off?
What stage do I give up...for this year?

Well, they don't look like anything is growing in there, but I never trust my eyes. I leave them cooking until they hatch or explode. I have some YF eggs in an incubator that have been there for over a year.

Oh wow, okay I'll keep going. I don't think anything will come of this batch of eggs, but I'm going to be ready and far more knowledgeable for next years, if my old girl lays again. Do you have any Hermann tortoises?

I can't tell you how many times I've canceled and concluded nothing was happening, only to have a baby hatch out weeks or months later.

And vice versa…

Just let them keep cooking for a while.

No. The only testudos I have are Russians.
