Belladdona is highly toxic. It doesn't do anything but cause death if the dosage is wrong. But if the dosage is right it still doesn't do anything but harm. I just can't believe "Forever" company claims that product as a help for RI.Fever? Pain? Inflammation?
It's a homeopathic medication, but personally, if my tortoise wasn't showing any signs of the above symptoms, I would NOT use it!
That got me speechless.Belladonna would be used on the street...legal to buy, exceed the dosage and get a high...regardless of what it says the stuff it's for
I just remember old detective movies where this plant was as a deadly weapon.....According to Wikipedia, it has a long history of medicinal use, but that doesn't mean it is good for this purpose.
"The modern pharmacological study of Atropa bella-donna extracts was begun by the German chemist Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge (1795–1867). In 1831, the German pharmacist Heinrich F. G. Mein (1799–1864)[20] succeeded in preparing a pure crystalline form of the active substance, named atropine."

When I googled how it could be used to treat respiratory infection, all I found was a bunch of stuff about homeopathic "sciences"....
Bottom line is, I wouldn't use it.
Oh yeah, and the atropine too, at least in Christie's books.I just remember old detective movies where this plant was as a deadly weapon.....
The D4 behind the name indicates the amount of belladonna in the medication. I suppose if one gave their tortoise a whole bottle they might kill their tortoise.Belladdona is highly toxic.
