So 2 of my 5 nogueyi eggs have now hatched. They were laid 18th august and the first one pipped new years eve. The 2nd pipped on the 5th :) Both of them had a large yolk sac so have remained in the incubator to absorb it. I've been giving them water regularly.

Baby 1 - He pipped a year to the day my grandma passed away, at around the same time too. We called him Granny Batty as a joke (my grandma's nickname) and the name stuck! He also has a much bigger tail than i expected! He's 18g, a little terror and headbutts everything!

Baby number 2 looks just like the Dad, George and we called him George Clone-y as a little joke which also stuck! He's still absorbing his yolk sac but seems a lot more laid back.

The mam and dad. Dad, George is golden in colour and smaller. Phoebe, the mam is darker :)

They are adorable. Don't see many of the adults of this species on here, let alone babes. Love the names too. If you keep them, I vote you keep their names too.

Glad the eggs survived the moves and two of them hatched so far. Congrats! The names are cool, too.

No sign of the others yet, but they were all a good week or so behind in development anyway. I would expect them to start soon though. I've offered some greens daily and he's not interested yet. The egg sac has only just finished being absorbed so im not too worried. I was thinking of trying a little mushroom with him today after a bath and see if hes any more interested. One is a chunky monkey though at 18g, the 2nd is a bit smaller. He also has a huge tail compared to the other one!

Well baby 3 is out and the first two have eaten a worm each and a bite or two of fruit. Not huge amounts, but something at least :)

Baby 3 seems to have a weird leg, and a friend who is a vet seems to think its an abnormality that she may grow out of or be have for life. We'll have to see how she is in the next few days/weeks.

Well firstly at least 3 of them are out. Congrats, you must've been nervous!
Regarding the leg, I think it is a birth defect which may heal in time, maybe the leg has become disjointed? I think it will fix itself in time, but may need some help to support it. I would get an x-ray to check it.

Yeah, im giving him/her a chance to recover hatching, absorb the rest of the yolk sac and see how it is in a few weeks. My vet is 50 miles away ( i dont drive + have to go by bus) so i dont want to rush into taking her unnecessarily if it fixes itself. She'll go if its not sorted by the time she's strong enough for moving to a viv.
