Indoor Brumation?

Looking, but cannot find guidelines for indoor (garage in Phoenix) brumation.

Choose a spot that's quiet, and the temperature will be consistently around 40F - 45F degrees. If you keep your car in the garage, don't idle it in there. Start it and drive it out immediately. Rats are a big consideration, as they chew on brumating tortoises. A shelf is better than the floor.

Rats! Yes, they are a real thing her in the desert--packrats. Bless their beadie little eyes, they do a lot of damage. I would have chosen the floor because cooler.

Is a dark plastic tote with good ventilation acceptable? Better at keeping rattie away!
