I knew Richard Miller had some beautiful torts, but this Aldabra he sent me blew my socks off!

Oh my god so beautiful! Look at that shell!!! I love how they differ than the small guys everone owns...like their long necks and their skin!!!

They are really cool to watch! Everyday I'm home I sit on my bench and watch it graze and walk around. Sometimes I do it for hours (only tortoise people understand that lol). It is only six inches and comes right up to me and eats carrots out of my hand. As to the shell I wish I could take credit, but that comes from being born in South Florida and proper nutrition.

So that's what a baby Aldabran tortoise looks like!

I love the photos of Yvonne's BO and SO. They always look so majestic and yet so serene. :D

How big is he really it's hard to tell without something next to him. Did you just buy him? :) That's quite a purchase. :D

I got him in May and he was 6 inches. It eats like a pig mainly grass, clover, rose of sharon which is a form of hibiscus is its its favorite treat. Now its july and its already grown to 7 inches. You can see its new growth lines in the pics of it eating a hibiscus flower.
