I’m newbie, pls help me, my yellow footed grow some white line between the scutes

My yellow footed tortoise have a white line between the scutes on left and right side scutes.
I’m wondering what is it, can anyone help?
I attached a picture with the yellow footed

Welcome to the forum. Those are growth lines.

It’s probably just growth lines that will go darker in time,but I’m sure someone more experienced will be along soon in case I’m wrong.

No, it's not a problem that the growth lines are bigger on the sides than elsewhere on the shell. As long as the overall silhouette of the tortoise stays symmetrical, he's growing ok.

Growth lines are a good thing, it means he/she is thriving.
