He is cute! Do you offer the Aquatic turtle Mazuri or the Tortoise Mazuri?

Try crickets! I put a dozen in my baby tank and watched the hunt for hours! It is amazing how fast they appear to learn the paterns of the crickets and actually catch them. I had one little guy catch and eat 8 in a span of an hour and a half or so. Better than watching fish.

Thanks! I'll have to give that cricket idea a try!!

I just give the tortoise mazuri, never have it much thought but your right....aquatic would probably be better for him.

All of the above, although it is highly unlikely they will eat the veggies and fruits. Easy on the meal worms though. I cut red wigglers into small pieces and mix them in with meal worms. I feed after soaking and spritz the babies with water to stimulate the feeding response. I just recently got into feeding mine crickets and boy is that fun! They chase them for a bit and then realize that they need to lie in wait. I had one little guy running around for ten minutes chasing a tiny baby cricket and he had a big cricket riding on his back the entire time. I scared the cricket off when I was trying to get a picture. Going to get more crickets and try and film the next session.

You should also release some things into their habitat. I have, as stated, crickets and red wigglers in with mine. In the spring/summer/fall I will add doodle bugs and snails and slugs. By then, they will have a much larger area to play in.

I wouldn't leave crickets in thee turtles habitat unless they have food, they will sometimes chew on baby turtles.
