this may sound like a smart alec response but it's not. When they stop producing UV that's when a solar meter comes in handy

My tortoises are inside for the winter, but spend a lot of time, if not all of the time outside in the summer. I change my bulbs late each fall.

Me too.
A new bulb for each winter.
Don't need one in the summer here.
Some seem to only last 6 months, some longer.

Hi how often should i change the lights and bulds in my enclouser

I change the regular light bulbs when they burn out.

I change the UV bulbs when my UV meter says they are not producing enough UV anymore, or in fall when I will need them more for indoor species over winter.
