Horseweed

I finally identified some crazy tall weeds we have growing here as Conyza canadensis... Horseweed, also called marestail, coltstail, or fleabane... Any idea if this is edible or not? We need to eradicate it, but we may try saving a little if it is edible. It is apparently a member of the aster family...

I don't know if its edible or not, but I go by what my horse will eat. She doesn't eat this plant.
