I'm interested to see some of the hideouts people have. I have one that was given to me that was homemade and I want to make or buy something better but the stores have little that are big enough. I want something bigger and better than the log. I have a 50 gallon wide tank so its like 20" wide and 38" long. I'm thinking a wooden box with a hinge top or some kind of cool rock. But the wood box seems better for room and access to her

Yeah my female is 4 years and looks at least that big. She has something now I just want to make something a little cooler looking. Its made out for wood not and my temps and humidity are perfect and she likes it so i would like to stay with the same material for now.

Here's some pics of my habitat with the basking area and her playpen for her daily exercise and social time. I have been taking her out for 20 minutes I spend some time with her and then let her play and run. The play area is in my living room across from the tank. My son Gabe and I also made her a brick basking rock with angled rocks for a ramp.

I don't really use hides in my enclosures. I just use piles of damp long fibered sphagnum moss and also artificial plants to hide under. They always prefer to burrow under the substrate or sit under fake plants, so I stopped with actual hides.
