Hello everyone!
My tortoises ,(2 desert tortoises) around the age of 4-5 years old, have been slow at eating and haven't been very active. They still will go out of their way to eat hibiscus flowers but haven't been eating a lot. Is this normal for this type of year? Some days they are very active, but other days they don't eat. I live in Southern California if it helps. They eat cucumber, carrots, kale, endive, and other types of leafy greens. I also have some hay in their pen to help keep out the cold air, but they always end up pushing it out :p

Thank you!

My two CDTs just did the same thing yesterday -- turned their noses up at everything in their dishes except the hibiscus blossom I tore in half and plopped in there. I guess they just can't resist those, even in winding down mode.
