Hi, my name is Darren and I'm new to the forum and new to having a Sulcata Tortoise. My wife always wanted to get one, and now that we have a 3 year old daughter we thought she would enjoy it too. My wife found one on Craigslist from a guy who has a huge collection of reptiles, he was moving to a smaller place and couldn't keep him anymore. Long story short, we bought him and he is now living with us. I just have some questions about his health. I'll post some pictures, can somebody tell me how he looks? Does he look healthy? I've read about pyramiding, and was wondering if he has it and if so what should I do about it?

Thank you.

Hello and welcome! He looks like a healthy tortoise! His little pyramiding looks like it was from long ago, it doesn't look like anything to be overly concerned about unless you see it progress. What kind of enclosure do you keep him in? A Sulcata that size is going to need a large outdoor area to roam and graze. Congratulations on your new family member! He's great!
