I've had Ivan(previously Ivy) my Ivory Sulcata since a hatchling of 2006 and recently I have noticed that he has found out that he has a penis. What he does is stand up high on all fours and then rocks his back end back and forth for a minute or so with it hanging out. After that it retracts and he goes on his merry way.

My question is, is this a normal thing that Sulcata's do?

I have an 8 year old male(Cheech) and have never seen him do that so that's why I'm asking.

Oh, BTW, I have just found out that the two 100% HET's that I have are females. I was worried that of the 6 Sulcata's that I have were all males.

Its pretty typical. Some males will flash alot and some wont do it as much as the others. Congrats on having a good ratio on these guys too.

Thanks, I wasn't too worried but just wanted to check and make sure it was normal.

I've seen my Redfoot males walk around showing off all the time but never just stand there and wave their rears back and forth.

Walter doesn't flash often, but when he does he likes to shake it like a chipanddales dancer.

I was thinking about putting a little grass skirt on her so she could do the hula. :)

Oops, I meant to say he and not she

I'm getting confused on my own posts, I'm also posting about a female that has stones.
