i have been giving my hermanns an hour outside on Saturdays and Sundays and about 20ish minutes on Wednesdays.

I was wondering if this was enough, as they are super tiny and I know too much is not good enough for them..

Also if i do 20 minutes a day peak sun 4-5x a week if i cannot do it on a weekend is that ok?

For reference, in FL the UV on any given day at the time I soak them outside is 9-10+.

Please help!

What you are doing is plenty and each of your ideas will be plenty.

The point of having them outside is:
1. UV.
2. Exercise.
3. Grazing.
4. Acclimation to eventually living outdoors full time when they get larger.

Either of the routines you explained accomplishes these things, and gives your tortoise enough access to UV light.

Also, if you are feeding Mazuri or any other supplemental food with D3 in it, and/or using a calcium supplement with D3 in it, your tortoise will never be D3 deficient.

You are all good!
